How the approach works:
Clinical neuropsychology is a specialty profession combining aspects of the Clinical neurosciences and psychology in order to examine and assess how cognition and behavior reflect underlying brain structure and function. When brain functioning combined with personal history has not been optimal, food addictions, and thus weight fluctuations, can develop over time.
The neuropsychological approach helps you to change your brain functioning, improve your eating and life style habits, and integrate this new “you.”
Individual sessions are effective because they are private, confidential, and custom tailored to each client’s particular needs. The training can be accomplished at your own pace, based upon your schedule, by appointment. Each session is approximately 30-50 minutes. An intake and post training session is scheduled for assessment purposes. Sessions with our professional staff are then arranged.
Aftercare is available through ongoing support group or individual sessions and/or involvement with other outside weight/fitness organizations.
This is a completely non-invasive, non-surgical and non-medication approach to weight and stress management.
